For timber frame constructions, we also offer paint solutions, for example by protecting or preserving wood with impregnations and clear varnishes against yellowing of hardwood. Another development that is currently growing rapidly is building with ‘cross laminated timber’ (CLT). Cross laminated timber may be the new concrete that makes timber high-rise possible.

What is CLT?

The main advantage for house factories of building with CLT is the ease of use in construction and the high degree of prefabrication that allows very fast construction times. The technology behind CLT is dried softwood boards, which are glued together under high pressure with sound PU adhesives. Depending on the need and use, these panels consist of 3-5 layers. These panels, which can be up to 35 cm thick, are ideal for use in a modular process where the panels are made into complete walls with wiring and piping. These are then assembled at the building site.

Paint solutions for house factories

Anker Stuy offers paint solutions for house factories with a decorative finish for exterior or interior walls. These paints for factories are also produced in such a way that wood is naturally protected, so that it does not yellow, and products to preserve wood so that blue mould or other mould growths cannot develop. In this way, house factories can always deliver the best quality.
